2 volume set of first Biography of Hawthorne. The first title page has come loose on both volumes but binding is not cracked(really more of an endpaper with the title on it but nothing else, there is an actual title page a couple of more pages in). Spine slanted on volume one, some white spots on covers of both volumes(possibly water spots, they don't appear to be bio predation), corners bumped on both volumes(right front board both) and front lower spine corner on volume one. Also therw is a small amount of underling and margin notes throughout(mostly in the form of vertical lines next to some paragraphs). I didn't even notice this at first glance.
